Foil Boarder Poses Question: Are Foil Boards More Fun?

Well are they?

There’s so much noise around foil boarders entering the surf sphere these days. It seems like those who choose to wield the foil are getting the “razor scooter in a skate park” treatment, so to speak. But are foil boarders intrinsically kooky as some surfers may suggest? Or is there room in the lineup for these pseudo-hoverboarders despite the initial resistance traditional surfers are putting up?  This guy rides the waves beautifully, with the style and flow only a weathered waterman could possess. He makes unsurfable sections look like buckets of fun, and I know there is merit in that. It all makes me question if maybe, just maybe, there is some validity to the foil life. What do you think?
