Agreed. But he also plays short, and even if it’s a little shaky at times, it makes him overall more valuable in my mind. At least while he’s hitting like he has been.

Not taking a thing away from Judge cause I think he's a great player but I was reminded yesterday watching a highlight of his latest HR that it would be a warning track out in every single other ballpark.

Guardos answered a lot of "are they real" questions with a sweep of the Twinkies yesterday I think. Frankie Lindor comes to the Jake tonight for the first time since he left to become a $330MM Met and is *checks notes* currently hitting .197. Ouch. I hope he gets a warm welcome back though.

It’s always easy to welcome back a player when they stink

True. It's even easier when the guy who played to his right chose to stay with the team and go on to be a perennial top-5 MVP finalist.

i actually didn’t see it but it was opposite field to the short porch?

the idea that he’s receiving some kind of home run welfare is laughable.

More of a comment on that porch than Judge. He's capable of hitting it out of any ballpark.

it offers the most benefit to dead pull lefties like Rizzo.

ohtani is leading judge in no doubters 8-7. so far.

    Guardos, real good baseball team.

Surprising to most? Sure. Getting it done, night in, night out? Yep. 32-17 isn’t a fluke.

I'm a Mets fan, I'm used to it
"fuck off you asshat gaper shit for brains fucktard wanker." - Jesus Christ

Jays/Tigers game is a bit of a shit show - Power outage in Detroit has the broadcast trucks for each team down. So Toronto's broadcast is a single scoreboard camera angle with our announcers literally calling in their calls on their cell phones complete with poor and delayed audio. Never seen this before (thankfully).

Edit - also the single video feed has a three second delay, so the announcers are trying to delay their commentary three seconds which as they admit is kinda difficult. Love the random weirdness of this sport.

Heh. I remember years ago at the Reds’ Great American Ballpark they celebrated the first anniversary of the first televised game from the 30s of which they were a part.

They leaned into it with no fancy lights, a mock-wooden scoreboard and only organ noise in the background. Then in the 7th they flipped the switch back to modern baseball, kind of a cool glimpse into the past. My takeaway was that tv baseball sucked then; sounds like you’re coming to the same conclusion.

Also, the new Guardos City Connect jerseys are the only cool ones I’ve seen (kinda Expos-like) besides San Diego’s.
